Guardian Jobs is seeking a Maths Tutor in Havering for a September 2026 start. The role covers Years 7–11, delivering 1:1 and small group maths interventions and working with teachers to gain hands-on classroom experience in a supportive department.

The position is a 1 year fixed-term, full-time, term-time only with progression opportunities toward teacher training and future teaching pathways in a high-achieving school community.

Qualifications

• Holds a degree in Mathematics from a leading UK university.
• Strong subject knowledge and excellent communication skills.
• Passionate about supporting young people in education.

Responsibilities

• Support students from Year 7 to Year 11 with 1:1 and small group interventions.
• Help raise attainment and confidence in Mathematics.
• Work closely with experienced teachers to gain classroom experience.
