Maths Tutor
Location: Newcastle upon Tyne, Tyne and Wear
Salary: £100 - £140 per day (depending on experience)
Contract: Full Time, Temporary to Permanent

GSL Education are currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Maths Tutor to join a supportive Post-16 provision in Newcastle upon Tyne. This role offers an excellent opportunity to help young learners strengthen their numeracy skills, gain qualifications, and progress confidently into further education or employment.

Job Summary

• Plan and deliver engaging Maths lessons and small-group interventions to post-16 and pre-16 learners.
• Support students working towards Functional Skills or GCSE Maths, ensuring all learners achieve their full potential.
• Track and record learner progress, providing constructive feedback and tailored learning support.
• Encourage confidence, motivation, and problem-solving skills through accessible and creative teaching methods.
• Collaborate with colleagues and support staff to maintain a positive, inclusive learning environment.

Requirements

• No QTS required – ideal for tutors or graduates with strong Maths skills.
• Available to start immediately and committed to long-term employment.
• Confident in delivering Maths up to GCSE or Functional Skills level.
