KS4 Maths Teacher / Tutor

GSL Education is looking for a passionate and confident KS4 Maths Teacher / Maths Tutor to join a specialist education setting in York from January 2026. This full-time role is ideal for someone who is committed to helping KS4 learners achieve their Maths qualifications in a supportive and well‑resourced environment.

About the Role

In this role, you will work exclusively with Key Stage 4 students, many of whom have additional learning needs, SEMH needs, or require personalised support. You will deliver tailored maths lessons that help learners build key skills, prepare for exams, and grow in confidence.

Key Responsibilities as a Maths Teacher / Tutor
  • Teach Maths to KS4 students only (small classes and 1:1 support)
  • Plan engaging, differentiated lessons suited to diverse learning needs
  • Support learners who may have SEMH, SEND, or barriers to education
  • Track and report on progress, adapting your approach when required
  • Work closely with support staff and pastoral teams
  • Create a positive, safe, and motivating learning environment
As the Ideal Maths Teacher, you will need to have:
  • QTS, FE qualification, or strong tutoring experience in KS4 Maths
  • Experience with SEMH or SEND (desirable, not essential)
  • A patient, resilient, and relationship‑focused approach
  • Ability to deliver creative and accessible Maths sessions
