Job summary

Maiden Erlegh School is seeking a passionate Maths Teacher to join the department and inspire students at Key Stage 3–5. You will plan and deliver engaging lessons, assess progress and adapt your approach to meet diverse learning needs.

The role includes contributing to curriculum development and safeguarding, within a supportive Trust environment. The successful candidate will hold QTS, a PGCE or equivalent, and a commitment to high standards of student achievement.

Qualifications

Hold a good quality degree, a PGCE or equivalent qualification in secondary education, and Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
Experience delivering engaging and effective maths lessons with classroom management.
Commitment to safeguarding and promoting welfare of children and young people.

Responsibilities

Plan, prepare and deliver high-quality Maths lessons engaging and challenging students.
Create an inclusive classroom environment where all students make progress.
Use effective teaching strategies to meet differing needs and overcome barriers to learning.
Assess students’ knowledge and progress to inform teaching and support improvements.

We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and committed Classroom Teacher of Maths to join our team at Maiden Erlegh School.

This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled classroom practitioner who is passionate about Mathematics and committed to helping every student achieve their potential. You will plan, resource and deliver highly effective lessons, contribute to curriculum development and create a safe, purposeful and ambitious learning environment in which students can make strong progress and achieve high academic standards. You will use a range of effective teaching approaches to engage students, promote enjoyment of Mathematics and overcome barriers to learning. The successful candidate will establish positive professional relationships with students, colleagues, parents and carers and will contribute positively to the wider life of the school and Trust.

You Will
