Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment is seeking a Maths Teacher to work across Middlesbrough in a variety of secondary schools. Start date is immediate and roles can be full-time, part-time or flexible supply.

You will deliver engaging Maths lessons, differentiate for all abilities, assess progress and provide feedback while maintaining a positive classroom environment. DBS checks and references are required.

Qualifications

• QTS or QTLS (or strong FE Maths teaching experience).
• Experience teaching Maths within a secondary school setting.
• Strong subject knowledge and a passion for Maths education.
• A valid DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
• Two professional references covering the last two years.

Responsibilities

• Planning and delivering engaging Maths lessons across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 advantageous).
• Differentiating work to support students of varying abilities.
• Assessing pupil progress and providing constructive feedback.
• Creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
• Managing classroom behaviour in line with school policies.
• Working collaboratively with department staff and senior leadership.
• Supporting students with additional needs where required.
