We are looking for a Maths Teacher in a school which offers outstanding opportunities for professional development. Twyford Church of England High School, an Ofsted outstanding school with a thriving Sixth Form, is one of four Twyford Trust schools. The successful applicant will be joining us at a time of growth and the organisation therefore offers good promotion prospects for motivated teachers who support the ethos of our schools.
Our KS3 and KS4 Maths curriculums are three tiered, using differentiated outcomes for each lesson to ensure we deliver the best possible curriculum for students of all abilities. At KS5, we run A Level courses in both Maths and Further Maths, and student recruitment to these courses is consistently strong, with more than 350 students across the 6th form. The curriculum and assessment frameworks are stored on the school’s VLE (‘Copia’) to ensure that all materials are accessible for students, parents and staff.
The department comprises 19 teachers, led by the Head of Department and Key Stage Coordinators. The department is highly supportive and has a proven track record of successfully training new staff. Many of the team also have additional responsibilities across the school. The successful candidate will teach groups from all key stages; all teachers in the department are required to teach Maths to KS5.
