Job summary

TeacherActive is partnered with a mainstream Secondary School in Wakefield seeking a Maths Teacher for September 2026. The role covers KS3 and KS4 with engaging lessons and a focus on strong classroom management.

The successful candidate will hold QTS with Maths, have KS3/KS4 teaching experience, and bring outstanding communication and organisational skills to support students’ progress.

Qualifications

Job description

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a mainstream Secondary School in Wakefield who are looking to appoint a Maths Teacher. The school provides a supportive learning environment where students are encouraged to develop their confidence, knowledge and enthusiasm for learning.

The school is looking for a qualified Maths Teacher for both day to day and long-term cover from September 2026. The successful Maths Teacher will teach across Key Stage 3 / KS3 and Key Stage 4 / KS4, delivering engaging Maths lessons, maintaining strong classroom management and supporting students to make positive academic progress.

The successful Maths Teacher will have:

• QTS with a Maths specialism (ECTs are also welcomed to apply)
• Experience teaching Maths across KS3 and KS4
• Strong knowledge of the Secondary Maths Curriculum
• Excellent classroom management
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• A positive and adaptable approach
