Lecturer - GCSE Maths

Location: Stamford

Contract: Permanent | Full Time (37 hours per week, all year round)

Morgan Hunt is working in partnership with a college in the Peterborough area supporting in finding a GCSE Maths Lecturer to join their high-performing English and Maths department.




This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are passionate about teaching and supporting learners from Entry Level (KS1) through to Level 2 (GCSE equivalent). Whether you're already a qualified lecturer or looking to achieve your teaching qualification, the college offers full support and training.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality Maths teaching, learning and assessment across a range of levels
• Plan, prepare and develop schemes of work, lesson plans and learning resources
• Work closely with vocational tutors to embed Maths into course delivery
• Conduct diagnostic assessments to identify learner needs and support progress
• Create individual learning plans to help learners achieve their goals
• Contribute to team meetings, curriculum development and continuous improvement

Candidate Requirements

• A recognised teaching qualification (PGCE, CertEd, Level 5 Diploma) or willingness to achieve one
• Excellent subject knowledge in Maths
• Strong classroom management and learner engagement skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues across departments
• A flexible and responsive approach to teaching in line with college needs
