Maths Lecturer

Annual Salary: Up to £38,186.75 (depending on experience and qualifications)

Location: Surrey

Job Type: Full-time (37 hours per week, employed for 52 weeks per year)

Join our team at a leading further education college, where we are dedicated to supporting young people and adults in their career paths. We are looking for a Maths Lecturer who is passionate about education and making a difference. This role is based on-site in Surrey and involves delivering high standards of teaching in a range of Maths courses, including GCSE and Functional Skills.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Teach on a programme of appropriate courses, focusing on GCSE and Functional Skills Maths.
  • Assess, review, and record learner progress and outcomes.
  • Maintain accurate course and learner records.
  • Embed employment skills into the curriculum to enhance student readiness for the workforce.
  • Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that fosters enthusiasm and learning.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Degree in Maths or a closely related area.
  • Teaching qualifications, or willingness to work towards obtaining these with our support.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Skilled in the use of IT to enhance teaching and learning experiences.
