Overview

Maths Intervention Teacher
MPS6 fixed rate, £35.8490/hour
Casual, annualised hours contract
Temporary – required as soon as possible for one year from start
Contract of 100 hours minimum each year
Extra casual hours available to suit throughout the school year

The Woodlands EHN Team are seeking to recruit qualified Maths intervention teachers to educate pupils who are medically too unwell to attend school. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a difference to the lives of young people and their families. To support a child’s education until they are well enough to reintegrate to their school.

Candidates will be required to teach Maths and in addition PHSE and an option subject.

Responsibilities

• Teach Maths, PHSE and an optional subject to pupils who are medically unwell.
• Travel across all of County Durham as necessary; teaching may take place in the family home, a Durham County building (e.g. One Point, library), an EHN Base (Sacriston or Leadgate) or a mainstream/specialist school in County Durham.
• Communicate with parents and support staff in clear, accurate spoken English.
