Job description

In this role , you will collaborate with Curriculum staff to deliver the college's new learning workshops, helping learners overcome barriers and achieve the best possible outcomes in English and maths. As an English and Maths Skills Coach, you will :

• Support individual learner progress in English and / or maths through facilitated workshops and other learning environments, ensuring consistent progress from each learner's starting point.
• Provide ongoing support to learners through approved support plans.

As an English and Maths Skills Coach, you'll work directly with learners and witness the positive impact of your support every day. This is a genuinely rewarding role, helping learners at a pivotal stage in their education while working closely with colleagues across the English and Maths team and other college departments.

You will… To succeed in this role, you'll bring experience of working with young people and an understanding of the barriers that can affect their achievement. You will have a proven track record of effective planning, delivery, and monitoring of performance against action plans and targets, particularly within an educational setting.You may also have experience in coaching or mentoring others to achieve successful learning outcomes, as well as facilitating group learning sessions such as workshops or classroom-based activities.
