Job summary

University Hospital Southampton NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Maternity Support Worker to join the UHS Maternity Services on a permanent basis. The role offers development opportunities within a supportive team.

You will work closely with women, birthing people, babies and families, delivering compassionate physical, psychological and emotional care throughout pregnancy, birth and the postnatal period, in partnership with the midwifery team.

Qualifications

• Recent experience as a carer in a healthcare setting.
• Level 3 qualification in healthcare (e.g., NVQ, Diploma or equivalent).
• Numeracy and literacy at level 2 (GCSE C/4 or above).

Responsibilities

• Assisting and delivering care throughout pregnancy, birth and postnatal periods, including physical, psychological and emotional support.
