Job summary

TeacherActive is supporting a small village school in Derbyshire to recruit a KS2 Teacher for a maternity cover role. The successful candidate will plan and deliver engaging KS2 lessons, monitor pupil progress and uphold strong classroom management within a welcoming team.

The school seeks QTS (ECTs welcome), KS2 experience, and a solid knowledge of the Primary Curriculum, plus strong communication and organisational skills and a positive, collaborative attitude.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging KS2 lessons in line with the KS2 curriculum
• Monitor pupil progress and provide feedback to pupils and parents
• Maintain excellent classroom management and create a positive learning environment
• Collaborate with the school team to support pupils’ learning and wellbeing

The school is looking to take on a KS2 Teacher on a full-time basis to provide maternity cover. The successful KS2 Teacher will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging lessons in line with the KS2 curriculum, monitoring pupil progress and maintaining excellent classroom management.

The successful KS2 Teacher will have:

• QTS (ECTs are also welcome to apply)
• Experience teaching within Key Stage 2 / KS2
• Strong knowledge of the Primary Curriculum
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• A positive and collaborative approach
