Job description
General

We are looking for a laboratory technician (construction) to work from our state of art laboratory in Doncaster. This role is to work within a team of people supporting the laboratory manager. All on the job training will be given. The role involves physical activity including the manual handling of samples up to 20kgs.

Responsibilities
  • To produce test results in accordance with our procedures, standards and specification
  • Physical testing of construction materials
  • To ensure that the laboratory working areas are safe and clean environment in which to work.
  • Preparation of materials for laboratory testing
  • To work in a safe manner that is in accordance with the Company Health & Safety Policy.
  • To carry out allocated work in accordance with documented in-house procedures, in an expeditious manner.>
  • To integrate into the team and maintain a strong harmony and morale throughout the laboratory.
Objectives
  • Producing test results in accordance with the documented procedures, standards and specifications.
  • To ensure testing/sampling activities are maintained in compliance with UKAS and Company requirements.
  • To ensure that the laboratory and site working areas are safe, clean and tidy environments in which to work.
  • Ensure data is accurate
  • To carry out daily work tasks as set by senior personnel.
Performance Measures
  • Timely completion of test schedules.
  • Test output levels and team productivity rates.
  • Accuracy of administration and attention to detail.
  • Health & Safety adherence.
  • Quality control procedure adherence.
