Job summary

Right Now Group in Henfield is seeking an Inventory Administrator to manage purchasing and production materials, ensuring timely availability. The role involves liaising with suppliers, raising purchase orders and monitoring stock levels to support production schedules.

The ideal candidate will have experience in buying, procurement or supply chain within a manufacturing setting and strong negotiation and ERP/MRP system skills. Permanent role with standard hours in the Henfield area.

Qualifications

• Experience raising and managing purchase orders.
• Strong supplier communication and negotiation skills.
• Experience working in a manufacturing, production, engineering, construction or joinery environment would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Raising and managing purchase orders for materials, components and production requirements.
• Sourcing materials and obtaining quotations from approved and new suppliers.
• Monitoring stock levels and ensuring materials are available to meet production requirements.
• Liaising with suppliers to confirm pricing, availability and delivery times.
• Tracking outstanding orders and proactively resolving delays or shortages.
• Working closely with Production and Planning teams to understand upcoming material requirements.
• Maintaining accurate purchasing, supplier and stock records.
• Reviewing supplier performance, pricing and delivery to identify opportunities for improvement.
• Supporting the resolution of quality, delivery and purchasing issues.
• Ensuring purchase orders and associated documentation are accurate and processed on time.
• Supporting stock takes and maintaining appropriate stock levels.
• Identifying opportunities to improve purchasing processes, costs and supplier relationships.
