An established engineering firm in Ferndown is seeking a Materials Handler for a permanent, full-time position working Monday to Thursday. Ideal candidates will have experience in materials handling and stock control, along with an understanding of electronic components. This role involves booking and inspecting materials, driving for deliveries, and adhering to quality standards, allowing for a long weekend every week.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in materials handling, stock control, or goods in/out.
  • Understanding of electronic components and assemblies.
  • Good PC skills and accurate record keeping.

Responsibilities

  • Booking in and inspecting incoming materials.
  • Kitting and performing materials to production schedules.
  • Performing stock checks and maintaining accurate records.
  • Acting as company driver for deliveries and collections.
  • Preparing goods for despatch and arranging couriers.
  • Supporting environmental and quality standards (ISO14001 & AS9100).
