About the Role

Are you a passionate scientist looking to take your career to the next level? A global pharmaceutical leader is seeking a Materials Characterisation Scientist to join their high-performing Manufacturing & Supply division. This is a hands-on role where your work will directly influence the quality and performance of medicines produced worldwide.

You’ll be at the forefront of assessing and comparing different suppliers of active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs) using state-of-the-art analytical techniques. Your contributions will help ensure safe, effective, and consistent products reach patients around the globe.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, execute, and analyse laboratory experiments to characterise materials.
  • Perform advanced analytical techniques including Particle size analysis, light & electron microscopy (SEM), thermal analysis, spectroscopy.
  • Solid form identification, powder flow, and density measurements.
  • Translate experimental results into detailed technical reports and presentations.
  • Work in accordance with Good Laboratory Practices (GL), established protocols, and SOPs.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the lab, including 5S and sustainability practices.
What We’re Looking For
  • Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or related field.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently while effectively managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills to clearly present technical findings.
