Job Title: Material Testing Technician

Location: Worcester, WR4

Shift: Monday to Friday, 9 AM – 5 PM

Pay Rate: £13.50 – £14.50 per hour

Job Description

We are seeking a Material Testing Technician to join our team in Worcester. This role focuses on hardness testing of materials such as metals and composites. Any experience in materials testing (concrete, plastics, fibreglass, or textiles) is an advantage, and skills can be transferred through training provided. The role also includes general laboratory duties, so a full driving licence and access to a vehicle are preferred due to location.

What You’ll Be Doing:
  • Carrying out laboratory testing and analysis (ideally within metallurgy, though other scientific backgrounds will be considered)
  • Recording accurate data and maintaining laboratory records
  • Analysing samples and reporting results clearly and promptly
  • Following all health, safety, and quality procedures
What We’re Looking For:
  • Experience working in a laboratory environment (metallurgy experience desirable but not essential)
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Good communication and organisational skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a small, collaborative team
