Artis recruitment has been engaged by a leading Leisure automotive manufacturer based in the Bristol area to support their search for a new Material Planner.

The Material Planner role focuses on ensuring the on-time, in-full delivery of parts to production lines, reducing obsolescence through effective order and stock control, and driving cost savings by managing key projects that benefit the business.

About the role
  • Manage material flow through MRP system to ensure material and components are readily available to meet production plans
  • Effective management of suppliers through a set of agreed KPI's, develop relationships and work with suppliers to reach successful outcomes, minimising working capital where possible
  • Effective stock control measure in line with lean principles
  • Co-ordinate with Production teams on a daily basis to ensure requirements can be met
  • Monitor, review and update plans on a regular basis, mitigating risk to supply, ensure changes are communicated clearly
Your experience
  • Proven track record of managing material/ stock within a manufacturing environment
  • Demonstrable track record of managing suppliers, understanding of the risks and opportunities associated
  • Pro-active approach to planning, seek out potential problems and escape appropriately
  • Ability to work autonomously in fast paced environment
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • Ability to develop and influence external and internal relationships
