Job Description Summary

To organise material within various production hold areas as required.

To deliver material to individual work centres within the Gate(s) to ensure the flow of engine and single item components, whilst improving productivity within the production personnel at the individual work centres.

Key Responsibilities include:
  • Ensure all duties complied within the facility are carried out using GE Aerospace's Safety, Quality, Delivery & Cost (SQDC) principles.
  • Transportation of components and barrows between work centers to ensure constant flow of material to achieve target completion dates.
  • Control the use of Work in Progress (WIP) lanes, storage areas and kanban systems.
  • To be able to use various material handling equipment including powered vehicles.
  • As required ensure accuracy of part tagging during part movement(s).
  • Assist with the supply of engine and consumable material from the stores.
  • To liaise with Flow Planner, shop personnel and if required Cell Leader.
  • Highlight any Lean opportunities to drive continuous improvement.
  • Stand in for the Flow Planner as required.

  • Demonstrate good judgment, interpersonal skills, and initiative.
  • A level of computer literacy required on SAP, Excel, etc.
