Logistics Material Coordinator (Job ID: 1916)

Hours of Work: 40 hours per week, Monday - Friday 0700-1600

The Logistics and Materials Controller is responsible for the efficient coordination of all cargo movements, both onshore and offshore, and for managing materials throughout their full lifecycle, from receipt to final dispatch. Serving as a key liaison between offshore installations, onshore vendors, and supporting agencies, this role plays a vital part in maintaining operational integrity and efficiency. Duties include:

  • Lead and manage materials control, ensuring accurate inventory management, bagging and tagging, and the timely shipment of materials.
  • Establish and maintain strong working relationships with client representatives, colleagues, and vendors.
  • Ensure all logistics activities comply with relevant legislation, policies, and procedures.
  • Act as a client focal point for material-related requests, ensuring quick and accurate responses to inquiries.
  • Identify opportunities to improve service delivery and implement efficiencies in material control.
  • Maintain an effective communication structure, empowering team members to complete tasks on time and to the required standard.
  • Deputise for the Team Leader or Service Delivery Coordinator in their absence.
  • Manage internal and external stock audits.
  • Ensure that the warehouse is kept to the highest level of cleanliness as per ASCO standards.
  • Liaise with vendors regarding material delivery bookings and ensure compliance with HM Revenue & Customs regulations.
Minimum Competencies (Skills, Knowledge and Behaviours)
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to develop and maintain positive relationships.
  • Effective negotiation skills with the ability to influence and challenge at all levels.
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to work under pressure and meet changing deadlines.
  • Strong analytical, planning, and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating initiative and accountability.
  • IT proficiency, including Microsoft Office and SAP or similar logistics/financial management systems.
  • Awareness of HM Revenue & Customs End Use and FCG regulations.

Desirable Qualifications/Competencies
  • Experience in a Materials Control position within Oil & Gas including hook‑up operations and bagging & tagging
