Job summary

A staffing agency in Cramlington is seeking a Material Handler to receive, store, and issue raw materials for production. The role requires attention to detail, basic computer skills, and the ability to lift materials. Responsibilities include checking deliveries, maintaining inventory accuracy, and operating equipment safely. Shifts are 4 days on and 4 days off, with a pay rate of £12.65 per hour, in a warehouse setting. Personal protective equipment will be provided, excluding safety boots.

Material Handler - Raw Material Handler

Location - Cramlington

Shifts - 4 days off/4 days on, 06:00 - 18:00

Pay Rate - £12.65 per hour

The Raw Material Handler is responsible for receiving, storing, and issuing raw materials to support production, ensuring accuracy, safety, and quality standards are met.

Key Duties
  • Receive and check raw materials against delivery paperwork
  • Label, store, and organise materials correctly
  • Issue materials to production as required
  • Record material movements accurately
  • Support stock checks and inventory accuracy
  • Follow GMP, safety, and quality procedures
  • Operate pallet trucks or forklifts (if trained)
  • Keep storage areas clean and organised
  • Report damaged, expired, or incorrect materials
Requirements
  • Ability to follow procedures and instructions
  • Good attention to detail and accuracy
  • Basic computer or record-keeping skills
  • Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 40-50 lbs
  • Willingness to work shifts and onsite
Preferred (Not Essential)
  • Previous warehouse or material handling experience
  • Forklift licence or training
