Job summary

GE Aerospace in Cheltenham seeks a diligent Material Controller to support a PCB manufacturing storage area. You will move material, control stock to aerospace standards, and record inventory transactions within the ERP system.

Strong communication, attention to detail, and task prioritisation in a fast-paced environment are essential. You will assist production plans, handle work orders, and contribute to process improvements to reduce losses and improve material presentation.

Qualifications

• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Material handling experience in a manufacturing environment, including ESD, MSD.
• Ability to manage priorities in line with customer requirements.
• Working knowledge of an ERP system.
• Moderate planning and organizational skills.
• High level of attention to detail and effective problem-solving approach.

Responsibilities

• Physical movement of material – picking, packing, labelling etc.
• Control of stock in line with aerospace standards
• Inventory transactions within a business system
• Housekeeping to upkeep performance
• Process Work Orders for the Operations team in line with Production Plan
• Fulfil all Material requests
• Attend daily rhythms to review performance and discuss key performance indicators.
• Apply problem solving skills to overcome queries and provide swift resolutions.
• Support Leadership on process improvement initiatives to improve turn-around time (TAT), reduce inventory losses, and develop world-class material presentation.
• Deliver on personal goals agreed with Leadership relating to Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost.
