What will be your role in the company?

As a Material Controller you’ll support depot operations by maintaining highly organised store systems and producing accurate documentation. You’ll manage all goods inwards and outwards, liaise with customers and colleagues on material transactions, and ensure stock control through inspections and audits. The role also involves coordinating logistics with suppliers, handling shipping documentation, and updating material logs. You’ll assist with purchasing processes, attend meetings, and occasionally carry out deliveries or collections. Flexibility is key, as you may support other projects and ensure compliance with HSQE standards.

What Salary will you be paid for this role?

As a Real Living Wage Employer, we are proud to pay competitively at CAF. For this role you will be offered a salary in the region of £31,000 per annum.

What will make you successful in this position?
  • English language and Mathematics standard grade 3 or above (or equivalent).
  • Full driving licence.
  • Proven relevant experience in a similar role (warehousing operations, maintaining materials inventory).
  • Proven relevant experience using an ERP System and computer skills.
  • Computer literate with experience of logistic and stock control systems.
  • Good numeracy, literacy, IT skills and attention to detail.
  • Be able to coordinate and organise logistics with key suppliers.
  • Flexibility and ability to work under own initiative.
