Dalkia UK is seeking a Material Controller (AB2) to manage stock levels and ensure reliable inspection equipment availability. You will take on the on-site role as the Inspection Equipment Focal Point, overseeing calibration dates and replacement gear, while maintaining care and security controls.

The role involves coordinating with receiving teams, SMEs, and the warehouse, performing audits, and ensuring accurate records and compliance across the site at Hinkley Point C and Bridgwater

Qualifications

• CCNSG Safety Passport is required.
• Competency Based Interview against Job Role is required.
• Full UK Driving License – No more than 9 points.
• First Aid @ Work.
• Incident Controller – IC.
• Emergency Marshal – EM.
• Proven background in material management.
• Knowledge of MEP & MEH materials.
• Knowledge of NCRs & LTQRs.
• Knowledge of material management systems.

Responsabilités

• Assisting with receipt and distribution of permanent construction materials, consumables and sundries.
• Perform all admin and clerical duties to ensure record keeping and compliance.
• Liaise with SMEs and act as intermediary to raise material requests and communicate progression.
• Coordinate with Warehouse to ensure proper handling and storage of materials.
• Conduct stock audits and carry out care and maintenance checks when required.

Summary of Role

The Material Controller (AB2) manage stock levels to ensure suitable and efficient equipment available, Assume the responsibilities of the Inspection Equipment Focal Point on site, in the control of all incoming and outgoing inspection equipment, consumables and materials, Manage calibration dates of equipment, ensuring routines are adhered to and replacement equipment is available. Ensure care and maintenance and security controls are being effectively deployed.

Key responsibilities

• Assisting with the receipt and distribution of permanent construction materials, consumables and sundries.
• Perform all associated admin and clerical duties to ensure record keeping and compliance.
• Liaise with the SME's and act as intermediary to raise material requests on their behalf and communicate the progression of those orders.
• Liaise with the Warehouse team to ensure correct handling and storage of materials is taking place.
• Conduct audits on stock and carry out any care and maintenance checks as and when required.

Desirable qualifications and Experience

• Knowledge & experience with MEP & MEH type materials
• Knowledge of industry and HPC standards and best practices relating to material management for NCR's & LTQR's
• Knowledge of material management systems

• Mon - Fri working pattern
• 08:00 – 16:00
• Rota
  • 2 weeks at HPC Main Site
  • 2 weeks at BDC
• Hinkley Point C Construction Site, Wick Moore Drove, Nr Bridgwater, Somerset, TA5 1UD
• Bridgwater Distribution Centre, Express Park, Bristol Rd, Bridgwater TA6 4RN
