The role

Carlisle Support Services is seeking well-presented, reliable, and proactive SIA-licensed Security Supervisors to join our matchday and event security team at Turf Moor Stadium- Home to Burnley Football Club

  • Location: Turf Moor- Home of Burnley FC (BB10 4BX)
  • Pay: £14.50 per hour
  • Hours: Casual shifts for football and ad‑hoc events – flexibility around your other commitments
  • Shift Expectation: Must be available for a minimum of 75% of all fixtures

Football events primarily take place on evenings and weekends.

As a Matchday Security Supervisor, you will lead and motivate a team of SIA‑licensed operatives, ensuring the safety, security, and enjoyment of all staff and visitors at the venue. You’ll be responsible for delivering a 5‑star service in line with the venue’s licensing conditions and high standards.

Core responsibilities include:

  • Acting as the dedicated radio holder for your zone or sector
  • Managing search teams for persons and bags at entry points
  • Responding to crowd management issues and security incidents
  • Supporting with ejections and interventions where needed
  • Liaising with the client’s Safety Officer and attending pre‑event briefings
  • Leading by example in customer service and professional standards
The ideal candidate
Essential:
  • Valid SIA Door Supervisor licence
  • At least 18 years of age
  • Level 3 Spectator Safety qualification or willingness to achieve this (funded)
  • Reliable, flexible, and committed to working at least 75% of home fixtures
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Smart, professional appearance
  • Previous security or stewarding experience
Desirable:
  • Prior supervisory experience within events or stadiums
  • Willingness to work at other Carlisle venues such as Huddersfield Town, Headingly, Manchester Central, Anfield Stadium and M&S Bank Arena
