Job summary

DeedMob B.V is seeking friendly and reliable volunteer drivers in Hatching Green to support adults with learning disabilities attending rugby matches. As a volunteer, you will drive from Harpenden to St Albans, offering companionship during the match.

We're looking for individuals who are aged 21 to 70, hold a valid UK driving licence, and embody qualities such as punctuality and a caring attitude. This is a great opportunity to engage socially while making a positive impact.

Qualifications

• Must be aged 21-70 years.
• Hold a clean, full and valid UK driving Licence.
• Reliable, caring, approachable, and respectful.

Responsibilities

• Collect the wheelchair-accessible vehicle from Harpenden.
• Drive to St Albans to collect the Rugby fan.
• Provide companionship during the rugby match.
• Safely return the adult home after the event.

Job description

Friendly and reliable volunteer driver to support an adult with a learning disability to attend rugby matches.

Key responsibilities

• Collect our wheelchair-accessible vehicle from Harpenden
• Drive the vehicle to St Albans to collect our Rugby fan
• Travel together to a rugby match at Old Albanian RFC and enjoy the experience alongside them
• Provide friendly companionship and support during the match
• Safely return the adult to their home in St Albans after the event
• Return the wheelchair-accessible vehicle to Harpenden

This is a rewarding befriending role combined with driving responsibilities.

Your qualities and characteristics

• Aged 21-70 years
• Hold a clean, full and valid UK driving Licence
• Friendly, caring, approachable and respectful
• Reliable, punctual and trustworthy
• Supportive attitude and willingness to engage socially

Support Provided

Full training will be given and you will be supported throughout your volunteering experience.
