Master Technician Required for a Car Dealership

  • Location : Croydon
  • Salary : Up to £60,000 Basic DOE (pro rata for part-time roles)
  • Hours : Full-Time, 42.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm, with flexible working or part-time options available (3 or 4 days per week)

Duties of a Master Technician
  • Diagnose complex faults on a variety of vehicles using advanced diagnostic tools and techniques.
  • Perform high-level servicing, maintenance, and repairs in accordance with manufacturer guidelines.
  • Oversee and execute intricate repairs, including engine rebuilds, transmission work, and electrical system diagnostics.
  • Ensure all vehicles meet stringent safety and performance standards. Provide accurate time estimates and detailed service reports for all jobs.
  • Mentor junior technicians and collaborate with the Workshop Manager to maintain workflow efficiency.
What Our Client Expects from Their Master Technician
  • Master Technician certification or equivalent manufacturer-specific qualifications (essential).
  • NVQ Level 3 Qualification in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair (or equivalent time‑served experience).
  • A full UK driving licence. Extensive experience working on a variety of vehicles, with advanced diagnostic and repair capabilities.
  • An MOT Tester licence is advantageous but not essential.
  • Self‑sufficiency, with the ability to independently handle complex mechanical and electrical jobs. Our client expects solutions not problems.
