Tioxide, a LB Group company, is seeking a Master Scheduler to lead the planning and scheduling function across the Greatham site, coordinating maintenance activities for WE and ICON operations.

The role requires strategic leadership of schedulers, governance of maintenance planning processes, and ensuring resource and contractor availability for safe, reliable execution. Strong SAP PM experience and excellent stakeholder management are essential.

Responsibilities

  • Lead WE and ICON planning and scheduling team, establish integrated maintenance schedule.
  • Own SAP maintenance planning process; ensure scoping and planning before scheduling.
  • Balance workloads across internal and contract resources; coordinate with engineering leadership.
  • Collaborate with Operations, Site Engineering, Technical Authorities, Workshop, Stores and Contract Management.
  • Monitor KPIs and drive continuous improvement in maintenance work management.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, permit-to-work and SAP standards; promote safety culture.
  • Coach and develop schedulers and planners across WE and ICON.

Job Purpose:

The Master Scheduler is responsible for leading the planning and scheduling function across the Greatham site, ensuring the effective coordination, prioritisation and execution of maintenance activities across both White End (WE) and ICON manufacturing operations.

The role is positioned as the single point of accountability for maintenance planning and scheduling excellence across the Greatham site, the role provides strategic leadership to schedulers and planners, establishes a single integrated maintenance planning process, and ensures resources, materials, contractors and plant availability are aligned to deliver safe, reliable and cost-effective maintenance execution. The position acts as the central point of governance for maintenance scheduling and is a key member of the Site Engineering Leadership Team.

Roles and Responsibilities
  • Maintenance Planning & Scheduling Leadership: Lead and develop the WE and ICON planning and scheduling team, setting common standards and maintaining an integrated site maintenance schedule. Prioritise work by risk, safety, compliance and business need, supported by rolling 13-week and annual maintenance plans.
  • Work Management Excellence: Own the SAP maintenance planning and scheduling process, ensuring work orders are properly scoped, resourced and planned before scheduling. Drive schedule compliance, planner productivity, weekly resource alignment and effective coordination of shutdowns, outages and major maintenance campaigns.
  • Resource and Capacity Management: Balance maintenance workloads across internal and contract resources, identifying constraints and mitigation plans to optimise labour utilisation while maintaining safe and effective execution. Coordinate contractor resource requirements with engineering leadership to support delivery of maintenance priorities.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Operations, Site Engineering, Technical Authorities, Workshop, Stores and Contract Management teams to ensure maintenance activities are aligned with production requirements, engineering priorities and wider business needs.
  • Performance Management: Monitor key maintenance KPIs, including schedule compliance, planning effectiveness, backlog, resource utilisation and shutdown performance. Provide regular reports and drive continuous improvement in the maintenance work management process.
  • Governance and Compliance: Ensure maintenance planning and scheduling activities comply with site safety, environmental, permit-to-work and SAP work management standards. Support audits relating to maintenance planning, asset management and engineering governance, while promoting a strong safety culture through quality planning and effective risk identification.
  • Leadership & People Development: Lead, coach and develop schedulers and planners across WE and ICON, setting clear standards, expectations and competency plans. Build a consistent, collaborative team culture focused on accountability, customer service and continuous improvement.
Experience and Qualifications

Essential

  • HNC/HND or Degree in Engineering or equivalent technical discipline.
  • Significant experience in maintenance planning and scheduling within a heavy industrial, chemical, manufacturing or COMAH environment.
  • Proven leadership experience managing planners and schedulers.
  • Strong SAP PM experience.
  • Thorough understanding of maintenance work management and asset care processes.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.

Desirable

  • Degree in Engineering or Asset Management.
  • Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional (CMRP) or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of ISO 55001 asset management principles.
  • Experience leading turnaround and shutdown planning activities.
