Job summary

Mars UK is seeking a Master Data Controller & ERP Key User for the UK Castle Cary hybrid role. The position maintains master data across major European customers and serves as the Navision ERP key user, supporting daily operations during a major transformation.

You will collaborate with European customers on catalogs, pricing and logistics data, lead data activities for new launches, and drive system improvements. Fluent English is required; French is a plus.

Qualifications

• Experience in Supply Chain, Logistics, Master Data or Operations, ideally in FMCG.
• Hands-on ERP experience, preferably as Key/Super User (Navision, SAP, Oracle).
• Master data management knowledge: product data, GTINs, GS1 and data governance.
• EDI processes and system integrations knowledge; diagnose/resolution of data issues.
• Experience with system testing, upgrades and UAT activities.
• Advanced Excel with strong analytics and attention to detail.
• Fluent English; French is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate master data across systems to ensure uninterrupted order processing.
• Collaborate with European customers to manage product catalogues, pricing and logistics data.
• Lead master data activities for new product launches and lifecycle management.
• Act as Navision ERP Key User, provide first-line support and drive improvements.
• Manage EDI integrations and system interfaces with customers and partners.
• Coordinate testing, upgrades and enhancement projects within the ERP community.

The Role

Royal Canin is embarking on a major business transformation programme, introducing new technology, standardised processes, enhanced data and analytics, and dedicated change management to support future growth.

As part of the first implementation wave in 2027, the European Key Accounts (EKA) team is seeking a Master Data Controller & ERP Key User to provide critical operational support during the transition.

This role combines responsibility for maintaining accurate end-to-end master data across major European customers with acting as the key user for the Microsoft Dynamics Navision ERP system. Working with pan-European stakeholders in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment, you will support daily operations, drive system improvements, lead technical projects, and play a key role in ensuring business continuity throughout the transformation journey.

What We’re Looking For

• Experience in a Supply Chain, Logistics, Master Data, or Operations role, ideally within an FMCG environment.
• Hands-on experience working with ERP systems, preferably as a Key User or Super User (Navision, SAP, Oracle, or similar).
• Strong understanding of master data management, including product data, GTINs, GS1 standards, and data governance principles.
• Knowledge of EDI processes and system integrations, with the ability to diagnose and resolve data and transaction issues.
• Experience supporting system testing, upgrades, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, with strong analytical capabilities and excellent attention to detail.
• Fluent English (written and verbal) is essential; French language skills would be advantageous.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate and aligned master data across customer and internal systems, ensuring uninterrupted order processing and supply chain operations.
• Collaborate with key European customers to manage product catalogues, pricing, logistics parameters, and promotional data.
• Lead master data activities for new product launches, product changes, and lifecycle management to ensure seamless market introduction.
• Act as the Navision ERP Key User, providing first-line support, troubleshooting system issues, and driving continuous system improvement.
• Manage EDI integrations and system interfaces, resolving data transmission issues and ensuring effective communication with customers and partners.
• Coordinate system testing, upgrades, and enhancement projects while representing the business within the European ERP Key User community.
