Job summary

A growing community event organization in Banbridge is seeking a Marketing, Outreach & Events Support Assistant to support in delivering educational outreach and community events. The role requires effective communication, organizational skills, and a willingness to learn about neurodiversity and inclusion. Marketing, Outreach & Events Support Assistant

THE EMPLOYER IS: DIVERSE MINDS EVENTS LIMITEDThe purpose of this role is to support Diverse Minds Events in delivering inclusive educational outreach, school roadshows, parent programmes and community events. This role offers real work experience within a growing organisation, with dedicated mentoring and training to build on your existing skills in marketing, event planning, administration, and community engagement.

Responsibilities
  • Research and reach out to schools, parent networks and community organisations.
  • Maintain CRM, contact databases and communication logs.
  • Draft newsletters, emails, website content and promotional materials.
  • Coordinate event logistics: bookings, accessibility requirements, schedules.
  • Help organise and run school roadshow events, parent workshops and partner events. An Enhanced AccessNI check will be carried out before the participant undertakes any school-based activities.
  • Support online event setup (Zoom/Teams) and participant liaison.
  • Prepare event materials (agendas, handouts, evaluation forms, equipment).
  • Manage administrative tasks: diary, filing, budgets, feedback collection.
  • Liaise with event partners to implement neuro-inclusive and sensory-aware practices.
Skills and Qualifications
  • Effective communication skills, including strong written communication and verbal communication where relevant to duties.
  • Ability to communicate professionally with schools, parents, and partner organisations.
  • Good organisation and time-management skills.
  • Ability to work independently on tasks after guidance.
  • Able to demonstrate professionalism and willingness to learn about neurodiversity, inclusion and accessibility.
  • Openness to reasonable adjustments to support individual communication preferences.
  • Experience with CRM systems, newsletter tools or content management.
  • Basic graphic design skills (e.g. Canva).
  • Some understanding of neurodiversity, inclusion or accessibility.
  • Previous work or voluntary experience in education, community or event settings.
