Marketing Manager – Popular Independent School in the Borough of Hounslow

Smart Teachers is working with a popular independent school in the Borough of Hounslow to recruit a creative Marketing Manager to start in January 2025.

Job Overview

The Marketing Manager is a mid‑level role within the new Enterprise and External Engagement directorate, responsible for co‑authoring and executing the school’s marketing strategy. The position blends commercial planning, team leadership and hands‑on management of digital and traditional marketing channels to enhance the brand, drive applications and support commercial growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the development and implementation of a multi‑channel marketing strategy that supports the school’s 3‑5 year growth plan.
  • Line‑manage and mentor the Content Officer and Marketing Assistant, fostering a high‑performing and creative team environment.
  • Oversee the execution of all marketing campaigns, including digital advertising, traditional print, OOH (Out‑of‑Home) and published materials.
  • Manage the school’s Public Relations and external communications to ensure a consistent and positive brand image.
  • Lead and manage website redevelopment projects, ensuring the digital presence is dynamic, user‑friendly and aligned with marketing goals.
  • Provide a robust monthly reporting pack to the Executive Leadership Team, detailing campaign performance, key metrics and strategic progress.
  • Represent the school at key events, supporting admissions and development initiatives.
  • Any other duties as reasonably required.
Requirements
  • Proven experience as a Marketing Manager or in a similar senior marketing role, preferably within education or a related creative sector.
  • Demonstrable track record of developing and executing successful, multi‑channel marketing strategies.
  • Experience in team leadership, with the ability to inspire and manage junior staff.
  • Proficiency in both digital marketing (SEO, SEM, social media advertising) and traditional marketing (print, PR).
  • Exceptional communication, presentation and leadership skills.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and report on campaign performance.
  • Project management skills to oversee website and other large‑scale marketing projects.
  • A passion for the performing arts and education.
