👋🏻 Hello, we’re Laka. Founded in 2017, we set out to transform insurance by connecting passionate cyclists to create a collective that protects their bikes. We aim to rewrite the rules of insurance so it’s something people stand with, not against.

Our model ensures everything runs smoothly for the Collective — from fast claims, fair cost sharing, to guaranteed maximum prices. For that service, the Collective pays Laka a fee based on monthly claims.

We’ve raised $10.4 million at Series B, grown the team to over 60, launched in 9 countries, captured the Dutch and UK markets, and won Best Cycle Insurance Provider for 7 years in a row. We’re expanding quickly across segments, products, and territories.

Marketing Manager (Netherlands)

We’re looking for a results‑driven marketer to lead our D2C consumer marketing activities in the Dutch market on a paternity cover basis. The role covers marketing strategy and execution during a critical period.

What you’ll be doing
  • Executing marketing campaigns.
  • Managing budget and performance for the region.
  • Hands‑on channel management and overseeing freelancers across affiliates, paid search, paid social, influencers, podcasts, and YouTube advertising.
  • Managing CRM and website for the region.
  • Localising marketing campaigns and product communications for the Dutch market.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of marketing experience within a direct‑to‑consumer (D2C) business, ideally in a fast‑paced or high‑growth environment.
  • Proven expertise in digital and performance marketing across paid social, search, display, and CRM.
  • Fluent in English and Dutch, with excellent written and verbal communication in both languages.
  • Strong analytical mindset to interpret performance data and optimise campaigns for growth.
  • Collaborative, proactive, and able to work cross‑functionally with global and local teams.
  • Available for a fixed‑term or paternity cover contract and ready to make an immediate impact.

Insurance experience is not required. We’ll provide training and up‑skilling. Please confirm you have permission to work in the UK, NL or France, as we cannot provide visa sponsorship.
