Location: Remote

Compensation: £50,000 / year

We’re Tiro - a leading provider of science and technology apprenticeships. To support our ambitious growth plans, we’re looking to appoint a dynamic and enthusiastic Marketing Manager to ensure our mission reaches the right audiences, fast.

We’ve been helping hungry apprentices to join ambitious businesses since 2005. At Tiro, we believe that great apprenticeships help everyone and that our work can contribute to broader positive outcomes, including addressing big issues of the day. We’re looking for more like-minded people to join team Tiro.

Key Responsibilities
  • Own and lead the marketing function – develop and deliver the full marketing strategy from the ground up.
  • Manage external agencies – own relationships with creative, digital, and PR agencies. Set expectations, track performance, and hold them accountable.
  • Track and manage marketing budgets – ensure efficient spend and ROI.
  • Build a marketing team over time – lay the foundations for scaling the marketing function, including defining roles, responsibilities, and processes as the business grows.
  • Lead B2B marketing activity – plan and execute marketing campaigns for business audiences and decision-makers.
  • Vertical-specific campaigns – develop tailored messaging and content for key industry verticals.
  • Case studies & proof points – lead creation of customer success stories, testimonials, and sector-specific case studies.
  • Email marketing – plan, build, and send email campaigns for lead generation and engagement.
  • Website updates & management – manage Tiro’s website content and functionality (WordPress).
  • Produce quick-turnaround assets – create social visuals and internal assets when agency support isn’t required.
  • Event marketing – support and promote events, from logistics to promotion and follow-up.
  • Project management – own timelines, deliverables, and cross-functional alignment.
  • Ensure GDPR compliance – handle data responsibly across all marketing activity.
  • Contribute to content & SEO strategy – support web content creation and optimisation for organic growth.
  • Internal communications – act as the marketing voice across the business.
  • Support PR & brand awareness – work with agencies or freelancers to raise external profile.
  • Data, reporting, and optimisation – track KPIs, report performance, and iterate with analytics.
  • CRM & Salesforce marketing alignment – leverage CRM systems to support lead management and pipeline reporting.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

We don’t believe in an itemised list of requirements. We’re looking for the right attitude and aptitude: someone who knows their mind, isn’t afraid to have a strong opinion, can work under their own steam, and is passionate about helping Britain’s businesses grow and about science and technology. You’ll be passionate about sales and marketing, proactive and self-starting, confident and collaborative, growth-minded, calm under pressure, and excited by ownership.
