Fed up pushing a brand you don’t believe in?

We can offer you a place with purpose.

Why we exist

Let’s be honest - the pharma industry is generally very traditional and doesn’t have a great reputation. Yet the work it does is life‑or‑death important, and health is a very emotive industry. It could be so much better - and we want to help it get there.

Impatient Health is a catalyst for change within pharma. We connect those who believe that pharma has great untapped potential and are desperate to do things differently – and help them through events, research and strategy consulting.

About the role

As our Marketing Manager, you will own strategy and execution for our company brands – as well as working with Paul Simms to further his reach as a thought‑leader.

Who you are
  • You’ve honed your craft as a marketer – with demonstrable experience of growing audiences and engagement.
  • You intuitively humanise brands. You could not care less about parroting the party line. You’re driven by people connecting to people.
  • You’re passionate about exploring marketing technology – you’re comfortable with common MarTech tools and always seeking a new edge.
  • You have a natural ability to pull together narrative threads and craft a compelling story.
  • You know how to build an engaged community that’s driven by a common cause and shared values.
  • You understand how exceptionally good copy can make a difference and pursue this always.
  • You’re data‑driven – you like to get your hands dirty and get into the data. You enjoy teasing out the story behind the trend and forming a hypothesis.
Qualities you possess
  • A naturally engaging personality with excellent communication skills.
  • An entrepreneurial spirit: you don’t typically like to be told what to do, you like to get on with it.
  • A keen eye for detail and you find satisfaction in simplicity.
  • Strong natural business acumen and ability to quickly make smart decisions.
  • Demonstrated ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
  • Independent. You thrive in a remote‑first environment, you naturally “self‑manage.”
  • You’re impact‑driven: you want to leave this world better than you found it.
Your responsibilities
  • Inherit your own media empire and be accountable for the strategy and growth of recognised industry brands: Impatient Health, Pharmageddon and The Vitals.
  • Build and execute a marketing strategy fit for scale and lead powerful campaigns that help us reach new audiences and hack growth.
  • Work alongside our CEO, a recognised industry thought‑leader, to further scale his engagement and reach.
  • Work with our events team to advise clients on marketing strategy for our engagements – crafting plans that drive their exposure and increase event attendance.
  • Accountable for driving innovation in how we engage across channels and content.
Work/Life Balance

We’re all aiming to strike the right work‑life balance. As a remote‑first team, we care more about outcomes than output. We want you to get the job done in the way that works for you. Craving some sun during winter? You’ll generally be free to work from wherever you’re most productive, as long as you meet your commitments.

Learning Opportunities

Your personal development is our collective future success. In addition to dedicated regular time to progressing your career goals, we also offer ‘study leave’ for bigger requests – our senior leadership team are here to offer support and guidance for your development.

Culture

Remote‑first doesn’t need to mean distant – we’re a friendly bunch at Impatient and overcompensate for our lack of office with those get‑togethers. We’ll make sure you get face‑time to form connections with the wider team.

Well‑being stipend

Stipend of £750 a year for wellness. This annual credit can also be used towards professional development, self‑care, or an experience that takes you somewhere new. We also provide extra funds for simply going to visit other members of the team! We also offer comprehensive health insurance for UK employees who choose to opt in – or a top‑up on your wellness credit if you’re located elsewhere or simply would prefer this option.

Interview process
  • Take‑home task presented at a panel session with the hiring manager and one of our founders.
  • A final session focused on your ways of working and values.

We’ll always aim to review your application as soon as possible – but as a small team, sometimes it takes longer that we’d like to get in touch with next steps.
