Job title: Marketing Manager

Salary: to £36,000 - £45,000 pa + bonus + private healthcare

GPW Recruitment are working with an established, specialist manufacturer in St Helens to recruit a Marketing Manager. In this newly created role you will report to the Managing Director with a focus on growing and developing a range of specialist manufactured products into the international defence market. Candidates are welcome from all industries, however candidates with a qualification or experience in Chemical, Chemistry or Research and Development would be of particular interest.

Responsibilities
  • Manage all marketing activities including campaigns, events, blogs, digital marketing to translate business goals into engagement, leads and revenue.
  • Develop and drive comprehensive digital plans for awareness and lead generation campaigns with KPI's and reporting metrics to assess campaign success.
  • Provide creative development and art direction for ads, campaigns and graphics that support sales objectives and build brand awareness.
  • Write and oversee the creation of sales and marketing materials, press releases, presentations, social media content and website content.
  • Maintain awareness of emerging trends and best practices to identify opportunities to apply to business strategy and plan.
  • Conduct market research to identify trends and opportunities for growth.
  • Identify and target specific campaigns for products and geographical locations within Europe and around the world.
  • Lead project management for marketing initiatives.
  • Act as prime driver and thought leader for development of new campaigns and initiatives.
  • Monitor and analyse the performance of digital marketing campaigns via tools such as Google Analytics and Social Media Analytics.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Proven experience in marketing roles.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and WordPress.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and planning skills. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously whilst meeting deadlines and budgets.
  • Degree level or equivalent in Marketing or related subject.
  • Proven record of effective communication, capable of articulating complex topics and subject matter.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a proven ability to work well with internal and external stakeholders.

  • Salary £36,000 pa - £45,000 pa depending on experience

  • 25 days holiday per year + 8 bank holidays
  • Hours of work Monday to Friday 8:30 to 16:30 with half hour paid lunch break. (Friday finish at 15:30) 39 hours per week.
