Seaham Hall | Luxury Lodges
Social Media Marketing Executive

The Role
We’re looking for a Social Media Marketing Executive to take ownership of our social media presence across two luxury brands: Seaham Hall and the Luxury Lodges resort collection. This is a dedicated, hands‑on role for someone who lives and breathes social media, from spotting the next TikTok trend to reading what a dip in reach is telling you.
Based at Seaham Hall in County Durham, you’ll report directly to the Marketing Manager and be responsible for the day‑to‑day planning, creation, posting and performance of content across our social channels, working closely with the wider marketing team to bring campaigns to life online.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Own the social media content calendar across all platforms (Instagram, TikTok, YouTube and Facebook) for both brands, planning content in line with campaign priorities and seasonal activity
- Create engaging, on‑brand content (photography, video and reels, graphics and copy) tailored to the style and audience of each platform
- Film and edit short‑form video content, including on‑site shoots at both Seaham Hall and Luxury Lodges resorts
- Schedule and publish posts, and manage day‑to‑day community engagement, responding to comments, messages and reviews in a timely, on‑brand tone
- Monitor social media trends, platform updates and competitor activity, recommending new formats and content opportunities
- Track, analyse and report on social media performance (engagement, reach, follower growth and conversions), turning data into recommendations for what to do next
- Support the planning and delivery of paid social media activity and boosted posts, working within budget and alongside the Marketing Manager
- Coordinate influencer and partner collaborations, including outreach, briefing and content approval
- Ensure consistent use of brand guidelines and tone of voice across all social channels
- Carry out additional social media and marketing duties as required
Skills & Qualifications
- Degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
- Demonstrable experience managing social media accounts (professional, freelance or a strong personal portfolio)
- Confident creating content with Canva and Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Premiere Pro or similar video editing tools)
- Strong working knowledge of Instagram, TikTok and YouTube, including platform‑specific content formats and best practice
- Comfortable using social media scheduling and analytics tools (e.g. Meta Business Suite, Later, Hootsuite)
- Basic photography and videography skills, with an eye for what makes content stop the scroll
About You
- Genuinely passionate about social media and on top of the latest platform trends
- A creative eye for content, storytelling and visual detail
- Confident being on camera or directing others during content shoots
- Excellent written communication skills, with the ability to adapt tone of voice across channels
- Highly organised, able to manage multiple content calendars and deadlines at once
- Proactive and self‑motivated, comfortable taking ownership of your channels
- A collaborative team player, confident in pitching new ideas
Benefits
- Hybrid working opportunities (after successful probation period)
- Employee recognition scheme, including Employee of the Quarter and Employee of the Year
- Workplace wellness programme, including access to the fitness suite (off‑peak times)
- In‑house and external training opportunities
- Staff discounts across both brands
- Uniform provided
