Job summary

An environmental and sustainability firm is seeking an Entry Level Managing Director to support marketing efforts and event management remotely. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years in marketing or events, possess excellent communication and organizational skills, and be familiar with HubSpot and data analysis. This is an exciting opportunity to join our team working remotely, to develop your marketing and events career in the environment and sustainability sector with a small in‑house team focused on in‑person and digital events alongside our membership offering.

Environment Analyst is a B2B publishing, events and membership business in the environmental and sustainability sector. We have a growing membership community of environmental and sustainability advisory firms, who use our respected market intelligence reports, datasets and news to inform their business strategies. We also bring together environmental business leaders and practitioners to discuss business opportunities and challenges, through our online and in‑person events, peer‑to‑peer networks and working groups.

In your role, you will be working with our Head of Marketing and Community & Events Manager on multi‑channel marketing campaigns, across our membership and events business as well as supporting the events, sales and marketing team with administrative activity.

You will need to be highly organised and able to work on multiple ongoing campaigns. Excellent copywriting and communication skills are also essential, as well as strong interpersonal skills, as you will be working with colleagues in different teams across the business.

Responsibilities
  • Marketing support will include:
    • Creating, scheduling, and automating email campaigns in HubSpot.
    • Managing data and building lists in HubSpot.
    • Providing customer success support to sales and marketing teams.
    • Executing advocacy marketing strategies with event speakers, delegates, sponsors, and partners.
    • Liaising with marketing services clients to deliver their agreed services.
    • Providing campaign reporting, collating data, and sharing updates for the wider business.
    • Producing and managing social media content and accounts.
    • Creating and promoting marketing content pieces.
    • Maintaining and updating our multiple websites.
    • Designing creatives, such as digital banners, advertisements, and printed event materials using Canva.
    • Building and maintaining relationships with media and associate partners.
    • Conducting desk research on marketplace trends, competitor activity, innovation, and consumer behaviour, and reporting findings.
    • Collaborating with cross‑functional teams to align marketing initiatives and goals with the wider business.
    • Writing and proofreading creative copy to enhance client experience and engagement.
    • Implementing and analysing digital marketing activities, including paid social media ads and PPC campaigns.
  • Event support will include:
    • Speaker liaison and managing logistics communications.
    • Event administration and on‑site delivery, including venue and logistics coordination.
    • Independently managing online event set‑up, including running platform tests with speakers and live event facilitation (back‑end support) – training on this will be provided.
Required experience

Minimum of 2 years of experience in a relevant marketing or events role.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience with HubSpot or a similar CRM

  • Data literate, able to process and analyse large data sets
