We provide scientific and regulatory consulting to help businesses bring safe, compliant products to market worldwide. Our team includes experts in environmental science, human health, chemistry and regulatory affairs, working across sectors such as crop protection, biocides, industrial chemicals and consumer goods. We support innovation while ensuring compliance with global regulations.

Forming part of Sagentia Regulatory is Leatherhead Food Research, a membership-based organisation serving the food & beverage industry. We provide tailored regulatory advice and global insights to both members and individual clients, helping them bring products to market in over 150 countries.

Opportunity

We are looking for a Marketing & Events Coordinator to plan, promote and deliver webinars, in-person events, conferences, exhibition stands and sponsorships for Sagentia Regulatory and Leatherhead Food Research.

This is a dynamic role within a collaborative marketing team. You will need 3+ years’ experience in events and/or marketing, ideally B2B, and strong organisational skills. Reporting to the Head of Marketing, you will be proactive, team-oriented, and confident engaging with colleagues at all levels.

You must have experience in end-to-end event planning and a good understanding of marketing campaigns and budgets. You will ensure events align with business objectives, deliver impact, and achieve ROI through timely follow-up. The role demands excellent organisation skills and the ability to manage competing priorities without compromising quality.

Based in Epsom, with occasional UK travel (London, Cambridge, Knaresborough).

Key Responsibilities
Conferences & Events
  • Plan and deliver event plans for Europe and North America: research, cost, secure approvals, book attendance, raise POs, and deliver within budget
  • Deliver and oversee webinars: setup, delegate registrations, rehearsals, presentation review and formatting, live delivery, post-event reporting
  • Organise in-person events: negotiate vendor contracts, oversee speaker logistics, delegate registrations, sponsorships, post-event reporting
  • Handle logistics: shipping stands, collateral, merchandise, staffing, and delegate badges
  • Ensure events run professionally and enhance brand reputation
Marcomms
  • Develop and implement promotional campaigns for events, and wider marketing campaigns
  • Create engaging content to drive bookings and consultant meetings
  • Assist with design and creation of promotional materials, update website content, and manage social media/email campaigns
  • Maintain brand consistency across presentations, collateral, and photography
  • Manage email broadcasts, contact lists, and follow-up reporting
General administration
  • Manage event budgets, P&L and track costs
  • Support marketing admin: raise purchase orders, maintain marketing inboxes, handle enquiries, order branded materials, maintain photo library, order printed collateral, liaise with suppliers
  • Log inbound email and website enquiries
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
Education
  • Degree in Marketing, Event Management or related field
Essential Skills and Experience
  • 3+ years’ events experience
  • Highly organised, methodical and able to multi-task under pressure, prioritise effectively and meet tight deadlines
  • Strong interpersonal skills; a proactive team player with initiative and a positive attitude
  • Self-motivated, eager to learn, and able to deliver high-quality work in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience with Canva, Photoshop and InDesign, and an eye for booth and graphic design
  • Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint and Word
  • Excellent attention to detail
Desirable Experience
  • B2B event management experience; track record of planning and delivering multiple events monthly
  • Confident with face-to-face and digital events; experience with GoTo Webinar or similar
  • Familiarity with e-Marketing (Campaigner) and CRM systems (Salesforce, Deltek)
