Responsibilities
  • As Director of Marketing, play a pivotal role in modernising our marketing approach, leading a team responsible for strategic marketing, central campaigns, social media, data & ROI, tooling, planning, and agency management. This is a key and senior role within Royal Mail and will be involved in defining, shaping and executing Royal Mail\'s strategic plans and making a significant contribution to the company\'s success.
  • Reporting to the Managing Director, Out of Home and Commercial Excellence.
  • Hybrid working with presence required in our Farringdon, London office.
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and embed a new marketing structure and strategic approach across Royal Mail
  • Oversee the marketing budget and manage a high-performing team
  • Define and drive the marketing strategy in alignment with commercial goals
  • Deliver large-scale central campaigns and establish a robust social media strategy
  • Own agency relationships, ensuring value creation across strategic and production tasks
  • Set and monitor marketing KPIs and data to demonstrate impact and ROI
  • Collaborate with senior stakeholders across the business to ensure consistency and effectiveness
  • Represent marketing at executive level, including engagement with Royal Mail\'s leadership and owners
What We\'re Looking For
  • A highly energetic and modern marketing leader with a passion for transformation
  • Proven experience in leading senior marketing teams and large budgets
  • Strong strategic mindset with a focus on execution and value creation
  • Deep understanding of marketing channels, tools, trends, and customer behaviour
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills, with the ability to engage senior leadership
  • Experience in managing external agencies and partners to deliver results
  • Industry experience is not essential, but background in a large, matrix organisation is preferred
  • Proven experience operating in senior B2B and B2C marketing roles
