Job description
The Role

The Marketing team operates as a central hub within Christie’s, partnering closely with Art and Luxury Specialists, Business Managers, Design, Digital, Client Insights, CRM, Editorial/Content, Press, Social Media and other key stakeholders across the business.

The Marketing Coordinator supports the Marketing Strategy team in the project management and execution of regional and global, multi-channel marketing campaigns for live auctions, online sales, private sales, exhibitions, events and special projects. This role helps to guide campaigns from initial brief through to launch and post-sale debrief, ensuring activity is delivered on time, on brand and to the highest standard.

Campaigns will include the planning and coordination of paid media, homepage promotion, content marketing, eDM content and deployment, social media and promotional activity, all designed to drive awareness, engagement, bidding, buying and registrations for Christie’s sales and events.

In addition, the Marketing Coordinator provides regular status updates, supports clear communication between stakeholders, and contributes to the ongoing refinement of internal processes and workflows to enhance efficiency and overall performance.

Specific duties & responsibilities will include but are not limited to
  • Gather, organize and proof assets for all campaign and sales promotion, consignment gathering, brand efforts and evergreen content campaigns including: advertising, eDMs, web, video, social media, signage and direct mail pieces
  • Propose timelines, track progress, flag delays and problem solve to ensure timely delivery
  • Brief and solicit feedback on marketing materials and work with Content, Design and Production teams to implement. Review and proofread any marketing materials to ensure all deliveries align the brief and free of error.
  • Coordinate with the Legal team to obtain and process copyright clearances and related fees for advertising modern and contemporary artworks and other non-catalogue marketing materials, including approvals on marketing assets as needed.
  • Generate CID codes to track digital activity and log performance reports
  • Help to maintain detailed records of marketing activity and budget tracking, and support invoicing administration
  • Coordinate campaign details with external media agency and directly with relevant publications to plan, research and book advertising campaigns and content proofreading as assigned
  • Liaise with outside vendors including printers and mail-houses or work with Christie’s Production and Creative teams to fulfil this need, as is appropriate
  • Provide ongoing administrative support for the Marketing Managers
The Candidate
  • Bachelor’s degree with minimum 2-3 years of demonstrable relevant work experience
  • Marketing qualification would be an advantage
  • Fluent in English, Cantonese and Mandarin (both reading and writing)
  • PC-literate and proficient in Microsoft Office; knowledge of Mac would be desirable
  • Display working knowledge of print production, media planning and social media as a marketing tool
  • Ability to work independently, as well as part of a larger team
  • Excel in a fast‑paced environment & able to quickly adapt to change
  • Demonstrates very strong interpersonal, presentation and client service skills
  • Ability to proactively anticipate hurdles and propose solutions
  • Detail oriented multi-tasker who is able to prioritize workload and time effectively
  • Knowledge of and passion for fine and decorative arts, furniture, and luxury items would be preferred
Salary Range

HKD18,000 to 24,000 per month
