We are now looking to expand our creative team with a flexible, capable and confident Marketing, Content, and Social Media Assistant. This role is ideal for an existing freelancer or someone seeking flexible part-time work that will expand steadily as the business grows. Hours will vary from project-based tasks to set working days during busier periods. As the company continues to scale, the role is expected to grow into more stable part-time hours and potentially full-time in the future, although this is not guaranteed.

About the Role

This role covers social media management, content creation, digital marketing support, on-site client content production, and occasional event assistance. Most work will be remote, with in-person meetings and client visits when needed.

You will play a key role in producing content, managing several brand accounts, capturing and editing videos, supporting marketing campaigns, and working directly with clients. You must be confident on camera, strong with people, and fast paced in your working style.

Key Responsibilities
Social Media and Content Creation
  • Create and edit short-form video content for Instagram and TikTok
  • Confidently appear on camera when needed for content
  • Write clear, engaging, and on‑brand copy for posts and campaigns
  • Manage multiple accounts through Meta Business Manager, including scheduling, assets and insights
  • Visit client locations to capture videos, photos, interviews and general creative assets
  • Maintain high quality creative output across all client and internal brands
Digital Marketing Support
  • Assist with email marketing, including campaign creation and copywriting
  • Support SEO activity, including basic optimisation and GEO targeting
  • Assist with Meta Ads and PPC activity where required
  • Support client reporting and insights for account management
  • Contribute ideas to campaign development and content planning
Graphic Design and Creative Support

Desirable but not essential

  • Create graphics, branding assets and promotional materials using Canva or Adobe tools
  • Contribute to creative ideation and visual storytelling
Website and UX Support

Desirable but not essential

  • Support with simple website updates and content uploads
  • Assist with landing page improvements and UX suggestions
Event Support

  • Assist with content capture and general support at live events and activations
  • Represent the agency professionally in client and public‑facing environments
General Support
  • Support the founder and wider team with creative coordination and admin
  • Bring ideas, initiative and strong communication to all projects
  • Work efficiently and deliver on deadlines with high creative standards
Ideal Candidate Profile
Essential
  • Strong social media skills
  • Competent short‑form video editing for TikTok and Instagram
  • Confident appearing on camera
  • Able to write excellent copy quickly
  • Confident using Meta Business Manager
  • Comfortable visiting client sites independently
  • Excellent interpersonal and client‑facing skills
  • Organised, proactive and reliable
  • Able to drive and age eighteen or older
  • Willing to work occasional weekends for events
  • Based within a reasonable travel distance of Hampshire

We do not expect applicants to have experience in every area. We will train and support the right person, but you must bring capability, confidence and a strong creative mindset.

Hours and Pay
  • £14 to £15 per hour, depending on experience
  • Freelance and flexible
  • Hours vary depending on workload, client needs and event activity
  • Mix of remote work, client visits, set days and project‑based work
  • Busier periods during summer and event seasons
  • Hourly rate applies while the role remains freelance with variable hours
  • If the role transitions into consistent part‑time or full‑time hours in future, pay will move to a fixed salary or agreed monthly amount structured in line with UK market rates and responsibilities

This approach ensures fairness and clarity, while avoiding the unsustainable cost of applying hourly freelance rates to full‑time working patterns.

Equipment Requirements

Applicants must have:

  • A modern smartphone capable of high‑quality video recording
  • A laptop suitable for creative and marketing work
  • Editing tools such as CapCut, Canva or Adobe Suite
  • A reliable internet connection
  • 18+ with driver's license, and access to a vehicle for travel
