Role Overview

The Marketing & Brand Lead is responsible for growing the SmudgeIT brand through creative social media activity, engaging content and strong eTrading performance. This role blends hands‑on marketing delivery with brand ownership, ensuring SmudgeIT stands out visually, tonally and commercially.

The successful candidate will lead social content creation, manage product listings and deliver campaigns that help drive sales and awareness.

Key Responsibilities
Brand Leadership
  • Develop and maintain SmudgeIT's brand guidelines, tone of voice and visual identity.
  • Ensure consistent brand application across all customer touchpoints.
  • Create brand assets, templates and messaging frameworks.
Social Media & Content Creation
  • Plan, create, film, edit and schedule engaging content for all SmudgeIT social media channels.
  • Build monthly content calendars aligned with growth targets.
  • Deliver short‑form video content, product showcases, behind‑the‑scenes clips, and campaign assets.
  • Track performance and adapt strategy to maximise engagement and reach.
Digital & eTrading
  • Improve visibility and conversions across all e‑commerce platforms.
  • Work with suppliers and internal teams to keep product data accurate and compelling.
  • Support promotional activity, launches and seasonal pushes.
Campaign & Marketing Delivery
  • Plan and deliver digital marketing campaigns to support commercial objectives.
  • Manage email marketing and online promotional content.
  • Ensure all marketing aligns with SmudgeIT's brand direction and growth plans.
Insight & Reporting
  • Monitor digital performance and produce regular insight reports.
  • Use analytics to drive continuous improvement of content and listings.
  • Stay ahead of trends, competitor activity and evolving social media best practices.

  • Proven experience in digital marketing, branding or social media.
  • Strong content creation ability, especially short‑form video.
