The Marketing Assistant will work closely with, and support the Head of Marketing to raise the company’s profile, maximise income through lead generation and contribute creatively to the continued growth and development of the organisation. The role will involve all aspects of marketing, most particularly supporting new business and customers campaigns, social and digital media.

The Marketing Assistant will be creative and proactive with the drive and ambition to develop a career in marketing. Able to work on their own initiative, the ideal candidate will have a positive approach and the confidence to put forward their own ideas when appropriate. In particular, a flair for writing engaging, persuasive yet concise copy is essential.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the use of HubSpot marketing automation to create campaigns to generate and track responses and leads
  • Assist with the preparation and distribution of marketing materials, including brochures, case studies, newsletters, product sheets etc
  • Look after the hospitality plan and bookings
  • With guidance and assistance from the Head of Marketing, manage social media channels and blogs
  • Assist with the planning and development of videos
  • Managing and developing email lists
  • Copy reading and editing content
  • Support the creation of marketing campaigns including prospects and customer marketing
  • Assist with the management and planning of events and trade shows
Essential skills, knowledge & experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and organisational skills
  • Creative, practical and able to work effectively under pressure and to tight deadlines
  • Good level of computer literacy including spreadsheets (good excel skills required) and databases
  • Ability to work well in a team.
  • A keen eye for design
  • Must have a UK driving licence.
Desirable Skills, Knowledge & Experience
  • Previous marketing experience with relevant marketing skills / qualifications
  • HubSpot or a similar marketing automation solution.
  • Experience of copywriting and editing
  • Experience of managing website content
  • Experience using Adobe creative suite
  • Experience of exhibitions and tradeshow organization
