A marketing solutions provider in Clevedon is seeking a Marketing Assistant to update and manage customer marketing materials. You will conduct market research, assist in organizing trade shows, and support marketing campaigns. The ideal candidate has hands-on marketing experience, strong design skills, and a background or interest in food product development. A full UK Driving Licence is required for site travel.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in marketing across various channels.
  • Strong graphic design skills, preferably with Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Effective communication and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially PowerPoint.
  • Experience working with suppliers, agencies and printers.
  • Interest in food product development is a plus.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Minimum GCSE at Grade B in Maths and English.
  • Valid UK Driving Licence and access to a car.

Marketing Assistant

Location: Clevedon, with some travel to the Newcastle-under-Lyme site, and some home working flexibility.

Hours: Full Time (40 hours per week) | 08:45 to 16:45 Monday to Thursday, 08:45 to 16:00 on a Friday

Salary: Competitive Salary

Responsibilities
  • Update and maintain a range of customer-focused marketing materials, including sales collateral, brochures, and presentations.
  • Provide proactive marketing support across the entire business function.
  • Conduct market research to identify and analyse emerging industry trends and insights.
  • Assist with the planning and organisation of annual trade shows and events (requiring occasional UK and European travel).
  • Collaborate with Account Managers to deliver tailored marketing insights in response to customer requests.
  • Support group-wide marketing campaigns and initiatives.
  • Manage the procurement and production of branded materials by liaising with external print suppliers.
Key Skills & Qualifications
  • Proven hands-on experience across the full marketing mix.
  • Proficiency with graphic design software (such as Adobe Photoshop and InDesign) and the ability to work within brand guidelines is a strong advantage.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with confidence in presenting both internally and externally.
  • High proficiency across Microsoft Office, particularly PowerPoint.
  • Experience liaising effectively with external suppliers, agencies, and printers.
  • Background or genuine interest in the food ingredients or food product development industry is highly desirable.
  • Excellent time management skills with a flexible and adaptable approach to work.
  • GCSE (or equivalent) at Grade B or above in Maths and English Language.
  • Must possess a full, clean UK Driving Licence and have access to a reliable car for travel between sites.
