Marketed Product Project Lead

Location: London (2 to 3 days on site per week)

Rate: £900 per day via umbrella

Length: 6 months

The goal is to accelerate and embed strategic change by combining our knowledge, network and thriving people to unlock value across the business.

The Marketed Product Project Lead will lead a matrix team across R&D to shape and deliver a step change in Marketed Product Support (MPS) Resource Forecasting. Currently MPS resource forecasts and actuals are misaligned, forecast ownership is unclear, and data integrity issues affect system outputs. The Marketed Product Project Lead will be responsible for both the upfront shaping and set-up of the program and delivery to the point of BAU. They will conduct a diagnostic, create a resolution proposal and implement the agreed changes. The Project Lead will be required to work across the CMO and wider impacted R&D teams, partnering with senior stakeholders to;

  • Establish clear ownership and accountability for the MPS forecast and actuals within R&D
  • Implement a standardized methodology for MPS data capture across all relevant divisions
  • Address and resolve source data issues to ensure accurate data feeds
Key Responsibilities
  • Provide program leadership, creating a collaborative and productive project team environment, fostering open communication and coordination among team members and stakeholders.
  • Effectively tracks and reports on project progress, risks, issues, and performance metrics.
  • Proactively manage deliverables and expectations, ensuring ongoing alignment on project scope and objectives.
  • Build strong relationships with project sponsors key stakeholders ensuring alignment and buy in. Provide regular tailored updates on project progress to senior leadership and other key stakeholders.
  • Develops and maintain project plan, scope, objectives, deliverables, timelines and risk management.
  • Facilitates project team meetings, drives effective decision-making processes, and engages stakeholders to ensure the project plan is executed smoothly
  • Manage the effective closure of the project and transition of deliverables/activities to business-as-usual owners in a controlled manner. Ensures that all lessons learned are captured and that any ongoing responsibilities have clear ownership post-project.
Experience/Competencies
  • Possess a strong leadership presence, empowering confident decision making and offering challenge and guidance to senior stakeholders in navigating challenges. Track record of collaborating and interacting with leaders at multiple levels across businesses and geographies
  • Strong team management skills: hold team accountable for performance and skilled at coordinating overall pieces of work.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead projects / change teams in a matrix management environment to drive coordinated and complex work
  • Track record of collaborating and interacting with leaders at multiple levels across the business.
  • Sufficient level of seniority and leadership presence to have the authority to make decisions and provide guidance to senior stakeholders
  • Experience working across organisational boundaries in global companies (via industry or consulting roles)
  • High learning agility / consulting mindset - able to apply problem-solving approaches to unfamiliar areas or challenges and navigate ambiguity.
  • Network builder - builds relationships quickly.
  • Strong business relationship management skills; can partner with leaders at all levels and deal with high levels of complexity, ambiguity and/or shifting context.
  • Ability to make timely and logical decisions for significant problems /has a 'can do' mindset and looks for solutions, appropriately escalates risks and issues and can create a plan to overcome obstacles.

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent with significant relevant experience working in the R&D pharmaceutical industry.
