Job Title: Market Risk Change Manager
Job Type: 6 months
Location: London
Hourly: £80 - £90 PAYE + holiday pay

Opportunity Overview

A fantastic opportunity has risen to temporarily join my client as a Market Risk Change Manager. My client is a leading global financial services firm providing a wide range of investment banking, securities, investment management and wealth management services. The Firm's employees serve clients worldwide including corporations, governments, and individuals from more than 1,200 offices in 43 countries.

Role Objective

Risk Management (FRM) supports my client to achieve its business goals by partnering with business units across the Firm to realize efficient risk-adjusted returns, acting as a strategic advisor to the Board and protecting the Firm from exposure to losses as a result of credit, market, liquidity, operational, model and other risks.

Key Responsibilities
  • The role will reside within Firm Risk Management's Market Risk Department.
  • The Market Risk Management Division (MRD) is responsible for the independent identification, analysis, reporting and escalation of all market risk exposures arising from business activities, acting independently of business management and providing an effective challenge process.
  • Manage Senior stakeholder engagement including escalating and resolving issues as necessary.
  • Be responsible for requirements gathering and managing the project on‑boarding process.
  • Manage internal and external dependencies across initiatives, including working closely with Risk Managers, squad level Product Owners and Front Office to manage interdependencies.
  • Assist the Agile Fleet Leads to maintain and prioritize the Fleet‑level backlog of work, by driving alignment between Fleet level purpose and Squad level components.
Requirements
  • Background in project management / Agile development
  • Experience of FRTB is highly desirable
  • Understanding of key market risk concepts (e.g. traded products, VaR, stress testing, risk/limit management)
  • Experience scoping, developing and prioritizing plans for strategic pieces of work
  • The ability to identify, monitor and manage project risks, issues and dependencies, and agree appropriate responses
  • Independent mindset and ability to challenge people and established processes
  • The ability to work independently in a self‑directed way in a collaborative, team‑oriented environment
  • The ability to effectively communicate with a wide range of stakeholders, both written and verbally
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to provide information in usable formats
  • An interest in working in a fast‑paced environment, often balancing multiple high priority deliverables FRM is committed to creating and providing opportunities that enable our workforce to reflect diverse backgrounds and views.
