Gold Standard is seeking an Officer, Market Intelligence to play a pivotal role in shaping the future of carbon markets and sustainable finance. As part of our dynamic Growth Department, you’ll provide intelligence, analysis, and advice during a transformative period for the carbon market. You’ll work closely with leadership, cross‑functional teams, and external partners to ensure Gold Standard remains a global leader in high‑integrity climate action.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
  • Lead the development and delivery of market intelligence to inform strategic decision‑making across carbon markets and sustainability sectors.
  • Manage structured reporting systems to track project pipelines and portfolio performance using internal and external data sources.
  • Provide analytical support for strategic initiatives, including market assessments, competitor benchmarking, and opportunity evaluations.
  • Identify and recommend high‑potential markets, partnerships, and funding opportunities aligned with Gold Standard’s mission.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure intelligence outputs are relevant, timely, and actionable.
  • Create compelling, data‑driven insights using visualization and storytelling tailored to diverse audiences.
  • Enhance organisational learning by refining tools, documenting methodologies, and building internal capacity in market analysis.
  • Stay ahead of policy and market trends to maintain Gold Standard’s leadership in climate and sustainability intelligence.
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
  • 2 to 4 years experience in market & business intelligence, including financial structuring, pricing, and competitive analysis.
  • A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (Economics, Finance, Business, Data Analytics, Environmental Studies, or International Development) is desirable.
  • Strong familiarity with market‑based climate mechanisms (carbon credits, emissions reductions, certification standards).
  • Experience managing and analysing complex data sets from multiple sources, delivering clear, actionable insights.
  • Fluency in English.
  • Excellent organisational and time‑management skills, with strong attention to detail.
  • Professional certifications or training in data analytics (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Excel advanced analytics) and/or in financial modelling, sustainable finance, or carbon markets (e.g., ICROA, GHG Protocol, CFA ESG) are desirable.
