Job description
Overview

Willis Towers Watson is a leading global advisory, broking and solutions company that helps clients around the world turn risk into a path for growth. With roots dating to 1828, Willis Towers Watson has 40,000 employees serving more than 140 countries. We design and deliver solutions that manage risk, optimize benefits, cultivate talent, and expand the power of capital to protect and strengthen institutions and individuals. Our unique perspective allows us to see the critical intersections between talent, assets and ideas – the dynamic formula that drives business performance. Together, we unlock potential.

The Business

Market and Client Insights (MCI) is a corporate function serving all Willis Towers Watson geographies, segments and corporate functions. Our mission is to provide research and insights regarding markets, clients, prospects, industries and competitors to drive revenue growth through more effective sales, marketing, and innovation. The team provides a range of services from information access and delivery (utilizing a number of 3rd-party research subscriptions and WTW proprietary research and data) to primary and secondary research for more complex requests requiring multiple sources and potentially multiple methodologies. Key deliverables include market assessments, company and industry profiles, competitor and competitive analyses, market trend reports, and prospect lists. This role is an FTC for 12 months.

The Role

MCI are hiring an experienced Market Insights Manager on a fixed-term contract to cover maternity leave within the team. This role will contribute to high-impact research projects, stakeholder engagement, and oversight of insight delivery including presentations, helping to drive insight-led decisions across WTW.

  • Lead and deliver strategic research initiatives that directly support MCI leadership priorities, ensuring insights are tailored to stakeholder needs across WTW.
  • Manage and deliver end-to-end project delivery: define scope, manage timelines, support junior staff, contribute research where necessary and review all outputs, ensuring high-quality insight delivery and presentation.
  • Effectively manage and maintain stakeholder relationships across WTW - understanding insight needs, where MCI are best placed to support, and ensuring research delivery is aligned to business priorities to maximise impact.
  • Champion MCI’s role across the organisation, raising visibility and promoting the value of insight-led decision-making
The Requirements
  • Extensive and strong experience in research or analyst roles, with expertise in tools, techniques, and sources. Skilled in data analysis and visualisation to craft compelling narratives.
  • Strong project management: multitasking, milestone setting, and deadline adherence.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement. Solid grasp of business and market strategy; able to generate actionable insights.
  • Self-starter that is detail-oriented, proactive, and able to foster a collaborative environment and transfer knowledge to junior researchers.
  • IT literate and comfortable with varied systems - in particular emerging technologies including leveraging generative AI in source identification and summary synthesis.
  • Knowledge of B2B, financial, or professional services and consulting and advisory industries are a plus, as well as experience in topics including DEI, ESG, Employee wellbeing and benefits, financial resilience, and insurance.
