Scope AT Limited is seeking a Market Data Engineering Team Lead to own and evolve its enterprise market data platform. It is a strategic leadership role with a strong technical focus, guiding architecture and a high-performing engineering team.

You’ll drive the design and delivery of scalable market data solutions, ensuring reliable ingestion, normalisation and distribution across Trading, Risk, Quant and enterprise systems. You will shape the long-term roadmap while overseeing operations.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience leading enterprise market data platforms.
• Strong knowledge of data ingestion, transformation and distribution.
• Proven hands-on experience with Python and real-time streaming.
• Experience with Zema or similar market data platforms is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor the Market Data Engineering team, providing technical leadership and strategic direction.
• Define and deliver the market data engineering roadmap and target architecture.
• Design and evolve enterprise market data platforms supporting both batch and Real Time processing.
• Own the market data platform, ensuring operational stability, BAU support and incident management.
• Manage integrations between market data platforms and ETRM systems.
• Partner with Trading, Risk, Quant and Technology teams to deliver high-quality data services.
• Establish engineering standards, data models and best practices across the platform.
• Drive improvements to scalability, resilience, performance and cost efficiency.
• Act as the senior SME for market data architecture and engineering.

A leading global commodities organisation is looking for a Market Data Engineering Team Lead to own and evolve its enterprise market data platform. This is a strategic leadership role with a strong technical focus, responsible for shaping the market data architecture while leading a high-performing engineering team.

You’ll drive the design and delivery of scalable market data solutions, ensuring reliable ingestion, normalisation and distribution of data across Trading, Risk, Quant and enterprise systems. Alongside defining the long-term roadmap, you’ll also oversee the operational stability of the platform and remain hands-on enough to guide architecture and solve complex technical challenges.

• Knowledge of ETL/ELT, data quality frameworks and operational support models.
• Experience integrating market data into ETRM platforms.
• Strong understanding of data services supporting Trading, Risk and Quant functions.
• Experience designing enterprise or unified data models.
• Proven technical leadership and stakeholder management skills.
• Background within commodities trading or financial services is highly desirable.
